Hello All! I hope you all are excited to hopefully have a long Labor Day weekend I know I am there is so much to prepare for next week. My boys start school Matt is a senior this year... wow college visits, applications, decisions decisions.  Luke begins 4th grade at a new school this year where he will be blessed to learn the violin and begins his dance lessons (at school)  which will begin with Ball Room dancing  how awesome is that?!!  I am so excited and prayerful that I will have the health and endurance to do it all for me and my boys.  Change is good and despite the feeling of uncertainty I know GOD will equip us to make the changes as well as learn the lessons during and after these changes.  :)  Let me share that next week I will hosting a Operation Write Home Birthday Bash here in New York City.  In July  I was blessed to have celebrated my first year of my Meetup, a year ago I embarked on what was unfamiliar to me but to a ca...

Operation Write Home Midweek Throwdown challenge http://www.owhstarsandstamps.org/ Their challenge this week is Halloween!  They challenged us to make Halloween cards for our heroes to send home to their loved ones!  A special request this Halloween card making season: We encourage you to stay away from "death" and "skulls and crossbones" for your Halloween cards. Happy little ghosties and skeletons are fine, and there are even some silly skulls (add some wiggly eyes and you can cheer up just about anything!)...... but some of the stamps and papers out there can be pretty gloomy....and while our heroes may love all the spooky side of the holiday, and their families as well, we would still like to stay on the 'happy' side of Halloween. Why? Well, if something unfortunately happened to one of our heroes, and a gloomy card was the final communication between them and their family—you get the idea? We want to help that be a positive memory for all concerned!  ...

My layout  displays my beautiful and handsome son but I normally would not use as much  bling nor would I use the color purple for my boys, lastly I decided to pour my heart out to my son who sometimes thinks I don't understand him so that he can see that I am just a mom who loves her son.  So what do you think about the bling I created it myself with my new I-Rock because I was just so excited and nearly died looking it at my desk all day at work and not being able to play with it so I needed to use it ASAP what do you think ?   Will my son be completely embarrassed by my purple and green layout?

Hello! The Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge #30. Here is the sketch for us to use:
Happy Summer all! A HUGE Happy Birthday to my son Matthew!! My hope is that you all are enjoying your summer so far. We are not quite enjoying the heat but the activities are abundant. Luke is enjoying his first full month of camp he is not a fan of camp as his past experiences have not been good ones, this time there are a few struggles but he is enjoying most of it. Interesting enough he has an old soul and continually says “Mom they need to treat all the kids respectfully, my friend is from Africa and I know he is different but that does not mean they should treat him bad.” So he has taken his new friend under his wing and has defended him to other children and says “Suliman is my friend a good friend Mom”. He even prays for him at night that GOD will protect him when he takes the train alone after camp. It really blessed my heart to know that when I teach him the principles of being a child of GOD he completely understands and puts it into practice. Matthew is doing h...
