Operation Write Home Midweek Throwdown challenge http://www.owhstarsandstamps.org/ Their challenge this week is Halloween! They challenged us to make Halloween cards for our heroes to send home to their loved ones! A special request this Halloween card making season: We encourage you to stay away from "death" and "skulls and crossbones" for your Halloween cards. Happy little ghosties and skeletons are fine, and there are even some silly skulls (add some wiggly eyes and you can cheer up just about anything!)...... but some of the stamps and papers out there can be pretty gloomy....and while our heroes may love all the spooky side of the holiday, and their families as well, we would still like to stay on the 'happy' side of Halloween. Why? Well, if something unfortunately happened to one of our heroes, and a gloomy card was the final communication between them and their family—you get the idea? We want to help that be a positive memory for all concerned! ...
I created this Friendship Wand for the Woman's Day Blog Hop! I participated in the hop because not only do I love creating I am proud to be a WOMEN! I used Colorbok Light Bright paper collection my friend Chelsea gifted me, a Unity stamp called "Unity Girls", cabachon flowers my friend Sam gifted me, lastly all the other supplies I used to create the sentiment banner came from my stash. These ladies hold a near and dear part of my heart demonstrating that miles don't mean anything when souls connect! Chelsea is from WA and Sam is from the UK and despite the miles between us over the past 5 years we have developed a bond of love that I will treasure forever! So in Celebration I dedicate this art piece to ALL the strong, beautiful, dedicated and smart WOMAN I am blessed to have in my life!
